Teen Read Week: Unleash Your Story October 8 - October 14 Teens and tweens pick up the Challenge card and complete as many activities on the card to win prizes. Game Time Monday, October 16, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Test your gaming skills and have fun with board games and Nintendo Wii. Family Feud Tournament Wednesday, October 18, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Join other teens in a fun competitive Family Feud Tournament. Movie Time presents Hotel Transylvania (Rated PG: 90 minutes) Wednesday, October 25, 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. When monsters want to get away from it all, they go to Count Dracula's Hotel Transylvania, a lavish resort where they can be themselves without humans around to bother them. On September 23 from 11am to 5pm, the Charleston County Public Library is hosting the second annual Black Ink Festival. The event is at 68 Calhoun Street, and is free and open to the public. The headliner this time is Newberry Medalist Kwame Alexander, author of The Crossover and Booked. "Black Ink: A Charleston African American Book Festival’s mission is to support local Black writers, creating a space for them to share their work, discuss their craft, and expose readers of all ages to the great variety of African American authors in the area.
